Dr. Donna holds an extensive academic background, representing over 11 years of combined education in the field of healthcare. She began her career in nursing with a diploma from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario. She then pursued advanced studies in the United States, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSN), a Master of Science (MSN), and ultimately a terminal Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP)

Over the course of her career, Donna Poirier has been recognized with numerous awards for academic excellence and leadership. She holds certifications in leadership and management, critical care, ICU/emergency/trauma nursing, air medical resource management, air ambulance operations, and advanced life support. Dr. Donna is board-certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and has served as an educator and professor at several universities in both Canada and the United States.

Donna also holds certification in integrative medicine, reflecting her commitment to a holistic and evidence-informed approach to care.
